She Gives of Herself

Spread it warmth

and comfort--

Carefully

She remembers

Others have wearied of celebrating . . .

Joyfully,

She takes care

To cook meals

Especially crafted

To please each of us.

Patiently,

She sways the flow of our lives,

With the music she hears

In her heart;

And, day upon day,

Her love and care

Comforts all of us

In her neighborhood.
