 Sure

Updated: May 20, 2024

I’m not sure about the need for war.

I’m not sure

Whether we return when life is done.

I’m not sure

How the internet works, much less ESP.

I’m not sure

How human bodies can possibly make

Over a million red blood cells

Every second.

I am not sure

About the physics of rainbows.

I’m not sure

why history contains so few accounts

Of women.

And,

I’m not at all sure

That light really travels over

186,000 miles per second!

But!

Show me a book of 1000 smiles,

And

I AM SURE

I could pick out yours.

Beth--

I love the contradictions of not being sure to being totally sure. What a concept!
