If I believed in other lives, In that we’ve lived before, I could see us standing on the banks Of a stream above Tintern Abbey, You in uniform, me in long Skirts and ribbons. Our eyes smiling goodbye.
I could believe our souls Were once captured in rock Formations on a red desert, Where we would bake in heat, Make love in thunderstorms. And wait for time to Spill us out again. |
