He Lets Me

He lets me

sleep in

while he heads off to work.

He lets me

try new recipes,

and eats whatever I come up with.

He lets me

pick the path we'll walk

even if he'd go another way.

He lets me

be a little crazy--

silliness isn't in him, but he lets me.

He lets me . . .


No, that's not quite right.

He not only Lets me--

He encourages me

to be ME.
