The Curtain

The Curtain

There's a glorious rain

falling outside our kitchen window.

It's not quite a Wall of Water,

but certainly, it's a Curtain of it.

The drops are so huge

you can see them as individual orbs.

It's a lot of wetness.

The birds are all holed up

somewhere.

They're not stupid.

A light shower to bathe in

is one thing,

But this downpour

calls for shelter.

Maybe they're perched in a tree

looking out through the Curtain.

I like the two lines "The drops are so huge/you can see them as individual orbs"
